The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to land a commitment from four-star offensive tackle recruit Nate Carson for their class of 2027. According to Steve Wiltfong of Rivals, Carson is expected to announce his commitment on July 3. The elite offensive lineman is considering several schools, including the South Carolina Gamecocks, Clemson Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, and Texas A&M Aggies, but Georgia appears to be the frontrunner. Carson, who plays for Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina, recently visited Georgia and has additional visits planned before making his decision. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 270 pounds, Carson is ranked as the No. 184 prospect nationally and the No. 24 offensive tackle. He is also recognized as the sixth-best recruit in South Carolina. Georgia's offensive line coach Phil Rauscher visited Carson in late April, which is a positive sign for the Bulldogs' chances of securing this talented player. Carson's impressive performance at Irmo, where he primarily played left tackle, showcases his good mobility and athleticism, making him well-suited for blocking at the second level of opposing defenses. He is also an Under Armour All-American, further highlighting his potential as a top recruit. As the Bulldogs continue to build their roster, landing Carson would be a significant boost to their offensive line for the future.
